The grant is tied to the Wallenberg Launch Pad (WALP) mechanism and is aimed at bridging the gap from academic research to societal impact. Grants are paid directly to the recipient's university and must follow the university's regulations and KAW's specific terms and conditions.

Benefits

Financial grant awarded to the researcher's university to support proof-of-concept activities toward validation, innovation or commercialization.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are scientists employed at a Swedish university who have or have had grants from the Wallenberg Foundations (including Wallenberg Academy Fellows, Wallenberg Scholars, Wallenberg Clinical Scholars, and PI/Co-PIs in KAW projects) or who are grant holders in KAW's strategic initiatives and related Wallenberg strategic initiatives.

Application

Applicants submit an application via the KAW application portal and should emphasise plans to verify usability and prepare the method/product/process for innovation or commercialization.
