Fulbright Inter-Country Travel Grant Programme (US Fulbright Scholars in Europe)

The Fulbright Inter-Country Travel Grant Programme enables U.S. Fulbright Scholars based in Europe to visit and lecture at institutions in the United Kingdom during their Fulbright grant period. Grants provide modest funds to support travel and local transportation for short scholar visits of up to five days. UK host institutions are expected to organise the visit and to cost-share in-country expenses such as accommodation and meals. Applications are submitted by the UK host (or arranged jointly with the visiting scholar) and are reviewed by the US-UK Fulbright Commission.

Reimbursement of airfare and local transportation and up to $1,000 total per trip for travel, lodging and meals (subject to rules); short scholar visit of up to five days supported.

U.S. Fulbright Scholars who hold Fulbright grants in Europe and UK institutions wishing to host them; the inter-country visit must take place during the visiting scholar's Fulbright grant period.

The UK host and Fulbright visiting scholar agree purpose and logistics, complete the Inter-Country Travel Grant Application form and submit it by email to the US-UK Fulbright Commission (david.h@fulbright.org.uk) at least four weeks before the planned visit; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
