Making Space for the Arts Fellowship

Fellowship
The Churchill Fellowship United Kingdom 2026

Information

Making Space for the Arts is a three-year Churchill Fellowship programme (launched in 2025) seeking a cohort of Fellows to strengthen the skill base and diversity of artistic practice in public spaces. It supports practitioners, producers and those involved in managing public spaces to explore large-scale, participatory and community-led artistic activity overseas and bring learning back to the UK. The programme prioritises projects with clear public benefit, community focus and potential to contribute to change in the UK.

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from anyone involved in the arts (practitioners, producers, designers, and those involved in management of public spaces) who can demonstrate a community-led, participatory approach and public benefit wider than advancing a personal artistic practice.

Application

Submit an online application via the Churchill Fellowship application form and follow the Foundation's application timeline and guidance.
