AAI Public Policy Fellows Program (PPFP)

The program runs from May 1 of the selection year to April 30 of the following year and combines monthly virtual meetings, special projects contributing to AAI legislative activities, and a two-day Capitol Hill Day (virtual or in-person). Fellows continue working at their home institutions while participating and may attend the AAI Annual Meeting during their fellowship year.

Specialized training in science policy and advocacy; monthly virtual meetings and mentorship from AAI government affairs staff; opportunities to draft testimony and contribute to advocacy materials; participation in a two-day Capitol Hill Day with travel/hotel expenses covered if in-person (per policy); attendance at AAI Annual Meeting (at fellow's expense).
