General Support Grants

General Support Grants provide small organizational grants to institutional members of the Coalition of Music Organizations for strategic or project planning activities, to meet unexpected expenses, or to address short-term operational challenges. Grants typically range from $1,500 to $2,000 and are funded from AMS general operating funds and funds raised for the Coalition. The program supports projects focused on music and disallows regranting or routine administrative costs not tied to a specific project. Preference is given to applicants who have not recently received a grant.

Monetary grant of $1,500–$2,000 to support a named project or short-term organizational needs.

Eligibility is restricted to current institutional members of the Coalition of Music Organizations; eligible applications up to $2,000 will be considered. Organizations may apply even if they received a grant in the previous year, though preference is given to applicants who have not recently received one.

Submit required materials via the online application form: project title, proposal summary (max 150 words), full proposal (max 500 words), description of expenses (max 500 words), and an itemized budget.
