About this opportunity
Applications are open for a series of 12-month postdoctoral fellowships for international early-career researchers. Fellows will spend ten months at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh, followed by up to two months based in their home countries for knowledge exchange and dissemination, with a bursary and access to University facilities. The programme begins in January 2027 and is part of a three-year British Council partnership with IASH.

Eligibility
Applicants must be based in an ODA-recipient country where the British Council operates and must hold a PhD completed within the last seven years; they should be international early-career researchers and eligible to undertake postdoctoral research.
