Turing Scheme Funding for International Placements 2026-2027

The Turing Scheme 2026–2027 is the UK government’s flagship international mobility programme, providing funding for study and work placements abroad. It supports schools, colleges, and universities in sending students and apprentices overseas to gain real-world experience and develop career-ready skills. The scheme aims to remove financial barriers and ensure opportunities are accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.

Fully supported international study/work experience, development of transferable skills, enhanced career prospects and global employability.

Applications must be submitted by UK education and training providers (schools, FE colleges, universities) on behalf of students and apprentices; individual students cannot apply directly.

Education providers check eligibility and submit via the Turing Scheme funding service (online portal).
