About this opportunity
A grant programme administered by the Boston University Graduate Student Organization to support doctoral and certain master’s (MFA) students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences who will present research at conferences or conduct dissertation-related research. Awards are intended to assist with professional development, dissertation or thesis progress, and related research expenses. Grants can be used for conference travel outside Boston or the applicant's primary residence, or for research activities such as travel, purchase of tools, use of paid archives, or paid workshops. Applications are submitted via an application portal and reviewed by a graduate-student committee.

Monetary award for travel or research expenses up to $1,000 (or partial awards between $500–$999).
Eligibility
Doctoral students and students in the Master’s in Fine Arts program within Boston University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences whose department is in good standing with GSO; MA students are not eligible. Applicants must have been accepted or applied to present at a conference occurring after the application deadline and within one year, or have dissertation research requiring eligible research activities within 12 months following the next application deadline.
