Graduate Student Travel Fund

A travel funding program for University of Kansas graduate students to support travel to present at conferences or professional meetings related to their field. Awards are determined based on travel expenses submitted in the application, with a maximum award amount. Funding is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis within defined travel cycles until funds are depleted.

Monetary award up to $500 to contribute toward travel-related expenses for presenting at a conference/professional meeting.

Any KU graduate student in good academic standing, enrolled at least half-time in a Lawrence/Edwards-based degree plan, accepted to present at a conference/professional meeting related to their field, and who has not received funding from this fund in the current academic year.

Application via an online form when each cycle opens; applicants must upload conference information, presentation abstract, evidence of acceptance, a signed statement of support, budget and justification, and evidence of search/application for additional funding.
