PROMOS-Stipendium

A DAAD-funded PROMOS scholarship administered at the International Office of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg to finance short-term study stays, internships, thesis stays and competition trips outside the Erasmus area. It is a merit-based scholarship awarded to currently enrolled JMU Würzburg students with very good to good academic performance. Funding duration, eligibility and lump sums follow DAAD rules and are set annually by the university.

Financial support (country-dependent lump sums) for study stays, thesis stays at universities, internships and competition trips; maximum and minimum durations vary by activity.

Fully matriculated students of the University of Würzburg may apply; stays in an applicant's home country are excluded for non-German nationals. Doctoral candidates cannot be supported this year. The scholarship is performance-based (very good to good grades).

Online application via the university Bewerbungsportal (SSO login with JMU account). Required documents include CV, study plan/motivation letter (1–2 pages), a reference using the university template, and transcript of records.
