Small Grant

Small Grants provide funding for independent student-driven project expenses and prioritize projects with high need for execution funding. The grants are intended for undergraduate student research or creative projects and support project activities planned for future academic quarters. Individual awards are up to $1,500 to cover project-related costs.

Up to $1,500 to cover project expenses

Students enrolled in undergraduate classes full time (at least 12 units) at Stanford are eligible. Co-term students who have not conferred their undergraduate degree may apply if the project fits into their undergraduate trajectory; students paying graduate tuition are ineligible.

Apply via the Stanford VPUE Grants application portal; submit a project proposal (max 1,500 words), Research Budget Request Form, faculty mentor letter, and any required IRB or animal-subject documentation and field contact letters as applicable.
