Joint British Geriatrics Society / Vivensa Foundation Undergraduate Research Placement Scheme

A funded scheme partnering the British Geriatrics Society and the Vivensa Foundation to provide undergraduate research placements in ageing-related research. Up to four host centres will be awarded funding, each to deliver three placements of up to six weeks, which may be full-time or part-time. Students from any discipline who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree for the duration of the placement may be recruited. The scheme supports supervision and development opportunities and aims to build capacity in underserved locations, centres, disciplines and student populations.

Full student stipend paid at the real Living Wage for the placement duration; up to £1,000 per student for additional costs; funding awarded to host centre to run three placements.

Applications are welcomed from prospective supervisors within centres, departments or institutes at any UK university, or other eligible research organisation with a strategic commitment to ageing-related research. Students recruited to the placements must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree for the duration of the placements.

Submit an application via the Vivensa Foundation Grants Management Portal and complete the call-specific application form describing the three proposed placements and host centre commitment.
