Journey: Journalism Bootcamp

An international summer journalism school that provides practical training, mentoring and field reporting experience led by experienced professionals from international media and agencies. It is aimed at university-level journalism and media students as well as students from other disciplines with journalism experience or strong motivation. The program includes classroom and field work, finishing with a mentored final project submitted after the residential course. The 2026 edition takes place in Prague, Czech Republic.

Travel to Prague, food and accommodation, study materials, visa fees (if applicable), mentoring and practical training; final project support.

Journalism and media students who have completed at least two semesters of university/college, and students from other disciplines who have journalism experience or demonstrate strong motivation. Fluency in English and a short list of previous journalistic work (writing samples, podcasts, video, or photo galleries) are required. The program is open to candidates born in or after December 1993.

Complete the online application in English including a portfolio of journalistic work; two-round selection with initial application review by an expert jury and a second-round English language check.
