The Journey International Summer School

The Journey International Summer School is a 10-day intensive journalism and media training program taking place in Prague. It provides practical training in investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, data journalism and ethical journalism under mentorship from senior journalists. The 2026 edition runs from July 31 to August 9, 2026 and requires a final project to be submitted by September 7, 2026. Selected participants receive full financial coverage for major program-related costs.

Full financial coverage including travel, accommodation, meals, local transportation, study materials and visa fees; mentorship and training from senior journalists from international media organisations; practical workshops and a final published-standard journalism project.

University students: journalism or media students who have completed at least two semesters, or students from other disciplines who demonstrate strong motivation for journalism and relevant media or storytelling experience. Fluency in English is mandatory and applicants must submit a portfolio of prior work (written, audio, video or photography).

Submit an application including a portfolio of previous work; applications are reviewed by an expert jury and shortlisted candidates undergo an English language assessment prior to final selection.
