AWF Geospatial Leaders Fellowship 2026

The AWF Geospatial Leaders Fellowship 2026 is a 10-month program organized by the African Wildlife Foundation in partnership with ESRI. It aims to empower African geospatial professionals through advanced GIS training, real-world project experience, and mentorship to address conservation and sustainable development challenges. Fellows gain hands-on exposure to modern GIS tools and contribute to projects ranging from ecosystem mapping to climate adaptation strategies.

High impact technical training, real-world project experience, and personalized mentorship as part of the fellowship.

Applicants must be 18-35 years old, a citizen of one of the listed African countries, hold a degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field, and have at least two years of GIS or environmental sector experience. Active champions of conservation are prioritized.
