Imperial Global Development Fellowship 2025-2026

The Imperial Global Development Fellowship provides high-impact, short-term placements for PhD students from Least Developed and Lower Middle-Income Countries to spend time at Imperial College London. Placements are supported by a host supervisor at Imperial and require confirmation from the PhD supervisor. The fellowship covers stipend, travel and visa-related costs for the duration of the placement, which lasts between 2 and 4 months and must commence in March 2026 and be completed by 31 July 2026.

Monthly stipend, arrival payment, return travel, visa-related costs covered, accommodation arranged by the participant.

Current doctoral students who are passport holders and permanent residents of a Least Developed or Lower Middle Income Country, currently studying for a PhD at an institution in an LDC/LMIC, and who are over 12 months into their PhD, with a Letter of Support from a host supervisor at Imperial and a Letter of Recommendation from their home supervisor.
