Information

The UNFCCC – UNU Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme offers young graduates from developing countries a one-year fellowship at the interface between international climate policy development and research, with potential extension. Fellows will gain experience in roles related to UNU-EHS/VIE and UNFCCC and may work domestically or internationally after completion.

Benefits

Monthly stipend (EUR 4,500), fully covered round-trip international air travel, medical coverage, one-year residency with possible extension, placement into UNFCCC operational subdivisions.

Eligibility

Applicants must originate from a developing country, be 32 years or younger at application, be enrolled in their final term or have graduated with a master’s or doctoral degree, and be fluent in English. Up to two years of relevant work experience may be considered.
