About this opportunity
The Ireland Fellows Programme Kader Asmal Fellowship 2026-2027 is a fully funded fellowship offered to South African students and early career professionals. It supports leadership for the Sustainable Development Goals and prioritises women’s leadership capacity and women’s participation in STEM. The programme aims to enable recipients to pursue Master’s level study in Ireland with funding and support arranged by the Irish Government.

Payment of academic fees; visa and medical insurance; economy flights to Ireland; Irish residence permit fee; settling-in and departure allowances; monthly living stipend; accommodation support or stipend.
Eligibility
Be a resident national of South Africa; have at least two years of relevant work experience; hold a bachelor’s degree with a strong GPA; not already hold a Master’s level qualification; be able to commence a Master’s programme in Ireland in 2025/26; demonstrate leadership and SDG commitment; select three eligible programmes; meet academic and English language requirements.
