Sino-ASEAN Network of Forestry Research Institutes (SANFRI) Visiting Scholar Program 2024-2025

The SANFRI Visiting Scholar Program provides funded research visits for competent young researchers to conduct scientific research and academic exchanges in sustainable forest management and rehabilitation. Hosted by the Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland (YAFG) of China, the program offers 3- or 6-month visits to join research programs in related forestry fields, with support including tuition fees, campus accommodation, a monthly stipend, travel, and insurance.

Citizenship of an ASEAN member economy; recommended by a SANFRI member institute; under 45 years old; hold a doctorate in forestry or a related field (or a master’s with 3+ years of forestry experience or a bachelor’s with 5+ years).
