Information

The Storytelling Research Fellowship is a nine‑month research placement hosted by the UAL AKO Storytelling Institute in collaboration with Comic Relief’s Power of Pop Fund. It funds research into how popular culture can influence public attitudes, social norms and behaviour on climate and social-justice issues, with a focus on British viewing audiences. Fellows receive an employment contract, mentorship and opportunities for dissemination, including a final public symposium.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or demonstrate equivalent research ability, be fluent in English, able to work in the UK for the full fellowship period, and be able to attend required activities in London in person.

Applications are submitted through UAL’s recruitment portal and require a CV, record of research outputs, a 1,000–1,200 word research proposal, a supporting statement and examples of previous research projects.
