Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships 2025

The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships 2025 are national scholarships offered for Research Students, Undergraduate Students and Specialized Training College Students to pursue studies in Japan. The scholarships cover study periods that begin in 2025 (various start months depending on programme) and include preparatory language training where applicable. The programme is administered through the Embassy of Japan in Greece for Greek nationals.

Return travel, tuition and enrollment fees, student visa issuance, and a monthly stipend (143,000 JPY).

Open to Greek citizens: Research Students — graduates and researchers up to 34 years old (date of birth on or after 1990-04-02); Undergraduate Students — aged 17–24 (date of birth on or after 2000-04-02). Applicants must meet programme-specific academic requirements and show willingness to learn Japanese.
