Postdoctoral fellowships offering independent research in resilience and sustainability science, hosted by the Smithsonian. The program supports up to five fellows who will conduct in-residence research leveraging Smithsonian resources, datasets, and expertise to study resilience in marine or terrestrial systems and their relation to people who depend on these systems.

Benefits

Stipend of $62,000 per year; up to $10,000 for research/related expenses; access to Smithsonian resources, scientists, collections, exhibits, and datasets.

Eligibility

Applicants must have or will have a Ph.D. by the time the fellowship begins and must propose to conduct research in residence.

Application

Submit a detailed research proposal (summary and project description), advisor information, budget, CV, diversity statement, letters of reference, and propose advisors from STRI/NMNH and another Smithsonian unit; include two reference letters and designate primary/secondary advisors.
