L'Oréal Canada For Women in Science Young Talents Fellowships

The L'Oréal Canada For Women in Science Young Talents fellowships are national postdoctoral research fellowships for female researchers working in life sciences, engineering, and pure and applied sciences. Up to two fellowships are awarded annually, each valued at $20,000 CAD for one academic year (September 1 to August 31). Fellows are invited to participate in leadership and communication training and an awards ceremony in Ottawa; travel for the fellow and one guest to the ceremony is paid. Recipients must be enrolled in or plan to enroll in a postdoctoral research program at a recognized Canadian university or research institute and engage in activities supporting women and girls in science during the funding period.

One fellowship valued at $20,000 CAD for the academic year; travel expenses for the fellow and one guest to the November 2026 awards ceremony; leadership and communication training; research funding for the project period.

Female researchers who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents; plan to complete their doctoral studies before September 1, 2026 or have completed them between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2026 (extension to six years possible for one-year parental or sick leave); plan to enroll or be enrolled in a postdoctoral research program at a recognized Canadian university or research institute; commit to participating in at least two activities supporting women and girls in science during the funding period; available the week of November 23, 2026 for the awards ceremony in Ottawa.
