The SCAR Fellowship Programme funds early-career researchers to join a project team from another country, enabling international collaboration in Antarctic research. It provides up to USD 15,000 per award, with the home institute bearing in-home country costs and the host institute waiving bench fees where applicable. The programme supports researchers to contribute to SCAR’s science groups and to build enduring international partnerships in Antarctic research.

Eligibility
Current PhD researcher or within 5 years of finishing PhD; visiting an Antarctic research facility in or run by a SCAR Member country, different from the applicant’s country of origin and current country of residence; should contribute to SCAR’s science groups.
