The University of Antwerp’s Faculty of Law offers a full-time doctoral scholarship focused on human rights law and global justice. The position is for a PhD candidate who will join the Law and Development Research Group under the supervision of Prof Dr Wouter Vandenhole. The award provides a multi-year scholarship with advantages including a monthly stipend, access to doctoral courses, and additional benefits suitable for researchers in a European university setting.

Benefits

Two-year doctoral scholarship, renewable once (total 4 years). Monthly stipend according to BAP pay scales. Access to Antwerp Doctoral School courses and educational credit. Additional benefits: eco‑cheques, internet allowance, bicycle allowance or public transport reimbursement.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a law degree, a master’s in law, or a social science with demonstrated interest in human rights law, and submit a 2-page research proposal.
