About this opportunity
A paid summer research program at the Institute for Protein Design offering full-time undergraduates hands-on computational and experimental protein design research in IPD member labs. Participants conduct a significant research project with a program mentor, enroll in a 2-credit course, attend weekly seminars, and present their work at a symposium. The program runs during the UW summer term in Seattle and is open to students from around the world. Students from underrepresented communities are highly encouraged to apply.
Benefits & funding
Monthly stipend ($3,200/month for nine weeks), 2-credit course enrollment, weekly seminars, mentorship and a research project in an IPD member lab, presentation opportunities (poster at symposium and a talk to the IPD).
Eligibility
Full-time undergraduate students (UW or elsewhere), particularly those completing their Sophomore or Junior year; applicants must be at least 18 years old at the start of the program. International students are welcome and, if selected, must provide proof of English proficiency.
